She’s a saint! She’s a sinner! She’s a sister in Sophia.
Mary Magdalene has been a central character of our cultural milieu, captivating people’s imaginations for millennia. She has taken on so many forms of feminine archetypes– both those in the light and in the shadows. She has been cast as both sinner and saint, prostitute and sacred partner, liberated woman and fallen repentant. But who is she really? And what’s her medicine for us today? What happens when we remove her from patriarchy’s clutches and relate to her as sister, friend, sovereign to herself, and powerful teacher in her own right? What are the energies we might tap into, and embody ourselves?
July 22nd is her "feast day", where people all over the world remember and reweave her medicine, celebrating her life and ongoing legacy.

This mini-retreat is rooted in Catholic Christian sacrament and spirituality with an expansive understanding of the Sophia-Christ; we work at the intersection of Christianity and and the Divine Feminine, committed to all the ways SHE always has and currently is expanding these ancient ways and teachings.

What should I expect?
This retreat will be a combination of embodied prayer (simple prayer practice with embodied invitations led by Erin); teaching transmissions (diving deep into the rich Wisdom tradition around Mary Magdalene, including her gospel); community sharing and deeper spiritual reflection and practice together. Think: community, prayer, learning and practice all richly guided by the energies of the Magdalene.

... your retreat guide. I’m so glad you’re interested in this work and I can't wait to journey with you! The Divine Feminine is rising in unprecedented ways in our time, and I’m grateful to be of service to Her return, particularly in the tradition of my origins, the Christ-light lineage. Rooted in Catholic Christian sacrament, spirituality, and social justice, I work in service to the reclamation and renewal of Sophia, the Feminine heart of Christ, in devotion to the liberation of all beings. I’m honored and excited to re-member and reweave this golden thread of Sophia Christ all the way from the Great Cosmic Mother Goddess into our lives today. I hold masters degrees in Catholic Education (U. of Notre Dame), Multicultural Ministry (Franciscan School of Theology) and Christian Spirituality (Graduate Theological Union) and over two decades of experience in various ministerial settings. Additionally, I am a certified yoga therapist; Reiki practitioner; Facilitator of Embodied Transformation; birth doula and soul-care companion. I live and love with my found family and fur babies in the Dutchtown neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri.
