The Stratification of Soul: An Imbolc SoulDance Ceremony 

Dancing the layers of freeze and thaw in our bodies in honor of mid-winter and the ongoing emergence of our soul’s shine 

In nature, here in the midwest, many native seeds need the cycles of freeze and thaw to crack open and emerge.   This process of stratification allows the plant medicine to move beyond the hard outer shell and move courageously toward the light and warmth.  Mid-Winter (Imbolc) is a celebration of the light and life that is coming-- even if it feels hard to see or feel.   These are two powerful mirrors for the life of our Soul, medicine we invite into the dance in deep gratitude for the embodied Wisdom of the natural world.  We dance or participation in this creation, honoring the cycles of freeze and thaw in our own body beings. Where are you still feeling the cold of winter, the freeze of fear or places inside you that feel stuck?  How are you leaning into the light, the thaw, the beckoning and becoming?  How are both necessary for the emergence of life-- yours, and that of all of creation?  

SoulDance is a joyful, meaningful exploration of body & soul.  We dance to free, we dance to feel, we dance to heal, we dance to take our place in the family of things, participating fully in life as whole and whole-making human beings.  We remember, together, what it is to be awake and alive.  Join us!
